How the move worked

In September 2017, the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) moved to its new home on Port Road. Patients were moved during daylight hours over three days, from Monday 4 September to Wednesday 6 September, with Thursday 7 September as contingency.

How the move worked

Accessing services leading up to the move

Services operated as normal at the old Royal Adelaide Hospital prior to the move including day and urgent surgery, the Emergency Department and other specialist services.

Existing outpatient clinic appointments proceeded at the old Royal Adelaide Hospital. All new urgent referrals for outpatient appointments were also seen.

If you had surgery booked before the move, it was likely to go ahead at the old Royal Adelaide Hospital. If there was any need to reschedule your outpatient clinic appointment or surgery due to the move, we would have notified you well in advance by phone or letter.
