A safe and successful move
As a result of the planning and professionalism shown by all of those involved, the move of 297 patients from the old RAH to the new was successful.
Our final patient, Ronald, was farewelled at the old RAH with a guard of honour, with over 100 doctors, nurses and support staff gathering to deliver a heartfelt goodbye.
A special thanks to the entire South Australian health system, including the metro and country hospitals who supported the RAH ramp down, SA Ambulance Service for their professionalism in safely transferring patients from the old hospital to the new, staff and volunteers for ensuring patient safety always remained the first priority and finally, the public for their patience during this extraordinary time.
