Is the emergency department the best place for you?

If not, there are other options

Taking Home Medication

It is important that when you leave hospital, you take your medication as prescribed in order to recover well. All medication must be taken home, including those brought in with you.

The pharmacists at the Royal Adelaide Hospital will ensure you have been prescribed the right medicines and will educate you on how and when to take them, potential side effects and any changes made to your medicines during your stay.

Medication no longer required by patients can be dispensed of by pharmacists.

Any questions regarding your medication can be answered by your local doctor or pharmacist.

If you wish to speak to a pharmacist at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, this can be done during business hours.
